BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONER SPECIAL MEETING

CALL TO ORDER

The Board of Fire Commissioners of Spokane Fire Protection District No. 13 met on February 22, 2011 at Station No. 1, 10236 N. West Newman Lake Drive, Newman Lake, Washington.  Chairperson Eileen Weyrauch called the meeting to order at 5:15PM and the flag salute was given.

ROLL CALL

Present:  Chairperson Eileen Weyrauch, Commissioner Bob Neu and Commissioner Clayton Andersen.

Others Present: Chief Keith Yamane, Deputy Chief Toni Halloran, Scott Weyrauch, Jon Budda, Lorne Burley, Danielle Adams, Kathy Small and Bob Pool.

ARCHITECT PRESENTATIONS

Presentations were given by the three architectural firms that the Building Committee submitted to the Board.  Each firm was given 30 minutes to give their presentation and 15 – 20 minutes afterwards for questions, not to exceed 50 minutes.  Questions were taken from the District Board first, followed by the Building Committee and the audience as time permitted. 

Presentations were given by:

            5:15PM - TCA/Longwell & Trapp Architects

            6:15 PM – Architects West/Perlman Architects of Arizona

            7:15 PM – Zech Butler Architects/Peck Smiley Ettlin Architects

After the presentations there was discussion regarding the reference checks that Chief Yamane did on the presenting architectural firms.  No decision was made regarding a selection.  A Special Meeting was scheduled for 6:00 pm on March 7, 2011 at Station #1.
